Course Description
In this course, you learn how to run a CFD simulation of a turbomachinery component. After importing a geometry, you set up and generate a high-quality structured grid with Fidelity Autogrid.
The solver Turbo is used to run the simulation of an operating point of the mesh previously generated, with the appropriate boundary conditions and numerical schemes. Eventually, the results will be post-processed in order to get information on the fluid patterns and understand the machine performances evaluated in the CFD run.
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Generate the mesh for a turbomachinery bladed component
- Run a CFD simulation successfully, evaluate its convergence
- Post-process the results and extract data for further analysis
