Clarity 3D Solver
Cadence Clarity 3D Solver for electromagnetic analysis of your high performance signal paths and connectors, with 10x capacity and performance advantage with near linear scalability, and accuracy nearing physical measurements.
Overview
The Cadence Clarity 3D Solver is a 3D electromagnetic (EM) simulation software tool for designing critical interconnects for PCBs, IC packages, and system on IC (SoIC) designs. The Clarity 3D Solver helps designers tackle the most complex electromagnetic (EM) challenges when designing systems for 5G, automotive, high-performance computing (HPC), and machine learning applications with gold-standard accuracy.
Cadence’s industry-leading distributed multiprocessing technology in the Clarity 3D Solver delivers the virtually unlimited capacity and 10X speed required to efficiently and effectively address larger and more complex structures. It creates highly accurate S-parameter models for use in high-speed signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), high-frequency RF/microwave applications, and electromagnetic compliance (EMC) analysis, enabling simulation results that match lab measurement, even at 112Gbps+ data transfer speeds. The Clarity 3D Solver solves true 3D structures by efficiently matching the available computing resources to the size of the design.
Key Benefits
Enables engineers to tackle the most complex EM challenges in a single simulation quickly and with gold-standard accuracy
Seamlessly integrated with Cadence Virtuoso and Allegro SiP and PCB designer tools, providing a complete design and analysis flow
Massively parallelized matrix solver technology with adaptive mesh refinement and frequency sweep processes for near-linear scalability
Web-based cloud servers enable designers to select lower cost cloud-computing resources and still maintain the highest performance when solving for 3D structures
Features
功能选项
Clarity 3D Solver provides the integration needed to access cloud compute resources on demand with just the push of a button. A unique hybrid solution, Clarity 3D Solver operates in the AWS cloud with the added security that comes from keeping design data safe on local computers. It sends only encrypted simulation-specific data to the cloud to access the user-defined number of compute cores—from 32 to thousands of cores, on demand, and without a wait time.
Clarity 3D Solver offers a graphical user interface (GUI) through which a simulation can be deployed on demand into the cloud by simply pushing a button. This presents the unique and attractive use model of pushing a simulation from the on-premises mode into the cloud on an on-demand basis, offering immediate access to cloud computers and eliminating the wait for on-premises server farm resources to become available.
The massively parallel architecture of Clarity 3D Solver offers elastic access to thousands of cores in the cloud, enabling unbounded simulation capacity. In addition, the same parallel architecture enables virtually linear performance gain, delivering an up-to-10X speedup over current solutions while maintaining Cadence’s gold-standard accuracy.
The Modelithics 3D Library for Clarity 3D Solver includes nearly 400 3D geometry models for accurate, measurement-validated simulation. These highly accurate encrypted full-wave EM analysis models support components such as inductors, resistors, filters, connectors, and packages. All Modelithics 3D EM models are based on physical dimensions and material properties with each including their own dedicated, fully documented model datasheet.
